Oakland Township Presents In-Person and Livestream Classes

Natural Awakenings News: Oakland Township Presents In-Person and Livestream Classes
 

Oakland Township Parks and Recreation is enabling people to try yoga in January and February with options for all levels of experience. Participants can register for in-person instruction at Paint Creek Cider Mill or livestream instruction by registered yoga teachers. Note that water and yoga mats will not be provided by the instructors.

All Levels Yoga will be held Sundays, January 8 through February 26, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., in partnership with Updog Yoga. All Level classes will accommodate all skill levels with an option to modify.

Gentle Yoga will be held Mondays and Wednesdays, January 4 through February 27, 4:45 to 5:45 p.m. Modifications to poses are offered and encouraged while gently stretching and strengthening the body, connecting with the breath and calming the mind.
Slow Flow Yoga will be held Sundays, January 8 through February 12, 11 a.m. to noon, in partnership with Red Lotus Yoga. These classes will be more of a challenge with longer holds and postures.

Finally, Yoga Walk in the Park will take place Saturdays, January 7 through February 11, 2 to 3 p.m. These classes are held by walking the park trails while intermittently adding yoga poses to calm the mind and improve balance and flexibility.
